Job summary

The role focuses on implementing district goals, providing inclusive instruction, and coordinating IEPs within a rigorous middle/high school setting. You will collaborate with colleagues to differentiate instruction, ensure accessibility to the general curriculum, and support transitions as students prepare for post-secondary paths.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Massachusetts Teaching License in Moderate Disabilities for grades 7–12.
• Current authorization to work in the United States.
• Experience teaching in urban schools (preferred).
• Degree in Special Education (preferred).
• ESL License or SEI Endorsement (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Implement district goals aligned with state frameworks and identify access points for portfolio development.
• Provide small-group instruction to students with moderate to severe cognitive delays within the general curriculum.
• Write and implement IEP goals and provide progress reports on student development.
• Provide accommodations for learning and testing; develop curriculum when needed and analyze student work.
• Collaborate with staff to support student needs for modification.
• Assist with transition planning to adult living services when appropriate.
