Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks a Special Education [Math] Inclusion teacher for grades 9-12 at Boston Day & Evening Academy on a long-term substitute basis. The assignment runs through early January 2027, with per diem start and transition to longer-term pay as applicable.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree and a Massachusetts Moderate Disabilities license, and is prepared to implement district goals, deliver inclusive instruction, document progress, and collaborate with colleagues

Qualifications

Education degree required and licensed in MA.
Massachusetts Moderate Disabilities license required.
Experience with IEPs and aligning instruction to standards is expected.
Authorized to work in the United States by day one of employment.

Responsibilities

Implement district goals and state-aligned objectives for student progress.
Provide small-group instruction to students with moderate to severe cognitive delays.
Write and monitor IEP goals and provide regular progress reports.
Provide accommodations and develop curriculum as needed for MCAS Alt.
Collaborate with staff to support students and adapt instruction as required.
Assist in transition plans to adult living services where appropriate.
