Job summary

Health & Human Services Comm in Kerrville seeks an Incident Management Coordinator to support the hospital's incident management process, review investigations, track remedial actions, and provide data-driven performance improvement insights.

The role requires strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with responsibilities across policy updates and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, sociology, psychology, nursing, or related field.
• OR four years in social work, sociology, psychology, or nursing with relevant experience.
• Three years' experience in a psychiatric healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attends work on a regular basis and may be asked to work rotating or extended shifts.
• Gathers incident information, investigates and tracks incidents through reporting and resolution.
• Reviews data to identify trends and assists with plans of correction for external reviews.
• Develops and revises hospital incident management policies to ensure compliance with JC, CMS and laws.
• Communicates with leadership and external investigators to ensure timely reporting.
