Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Austin seeks an Incident Management Coordinator to support hospital incident handling, ANE cases, and safety compliance. The role requires data review, action tracking, and policy alignment with JC, CMS, and state rules.

The IMC coordinates with Quality Management, Rights Protection, Risk Management, and leadership to ensure protective actions are taken and investigations are properly documented.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four years in social work, sociology, psychology, or nursing.
• Experience in psychiatric healthcare preferred.
• Ability to pass background checks and meet immunization policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Attend regular shifts and possible rotation/overtime as needed.
• Enter data into the data management system and track incidents to resolution.
• Document preliminary reviews and contribute to plans of correction.
• Develop and revise incident management policies for compliance.
• Analyze incident data to identify trends and reduce recurrence.
• Coordinate with departments and external investigators as needed.
