Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission is seeking a Special Projects Coordinator at Kerrville State Hospital to lead high-priority initiatives. You will coordinate planning, track progress, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects.

The role requires strong project management, policy coordination, and reporting skills, with focus on cross‑department collaboration and legislative liaison duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year university with a major in psychology, sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or a related human services field; minimum six months experience.
• Three years of experience in managing projects.
• Three years of full-time experience in human services.

Responsibilities

• Oversees coordination, planning, initiation and completion of assigned SH projects and workgroups.
• Prepares and coordinates various reports, including legislative reports and executive briefings.
• Represents SH at meetings, serves on committees and acts as a legislative liaison when needed.
