Job summary

Alpaca is seeking a seasoned leader to build and run its 24x7 incident command function, ensuring rapid response across APAC, EMEA and AMER regions. You will drive severity models, escalation pathways, and KPI definitions while coordinating with engineering, risk, and partner communications teams.

You will own post-incident reviews, drive continuous improvement, and mentor a distributed team to uphold reliability and regulatory readiness in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an incident command or major-incident function.
• 5+ years in production engineering, SRE or technical operations.
• Experience running 24x7 on-call rotations across time zones.
• Ability to defend severity calls and communicate clearly with executives.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the 24x7 incident command function.
• Own severity model, escalation paths, and KPIs.
• Coordinate between engineering, risk, partnerships and reliability program management.
• Document workflows and publish learnings across the engineering organisation.
