Job summary
Alpaca seeks an experienced IT Operations Specialist to support distributed teams and safeguard our organization. You will manage onboarding, device setup, and endpoint security while collaborating with HR and Security teams.
The role requires 3+ years in IT support, strong Linux/MacOS/Windows admin skills, and a passion for automation and scripting. Remote work across time zones is standard, with on-call duties as needed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in IT support or helpdesk role.
- Deep expertise in Linux, MacOS and Windows system administration.
- Experience with automation workflows and scripting for operational tasks.
- Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms and cloud environments.
- Strong cybersecurity awareness and networking knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal English; team collaboration across time zones.
Responsibilities
- Be the go-to person for IT helpdesk requests.
- Diagnose and provide IT support for staff.
- Assist onboarding/offboarding with HR and Security.
- Set up and deploy laptops, devices, software, and hardware.
- Manage and secure endpoint devices per Security Team directions.
- Provide staff training on IT topics.
