Job summary

Expeditors, a global logistics leader, seeks a candidate with knowledge of the Chicagoland area to manage domestic operations and customer service tasks. The role involves handling import files, following the Transcon DDL workflow, and ensuring shipments have proper events recorded.

Responsibilities include timely dispatch based on arrival and appointment, GPS load monitoring, and strict adherence to DLSOPS procedures. Expected with KPI-driven performance and at least 52 hours of annual training.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Chicagoland area.
• Six months to one year related experience in Domestic operations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• A proven history of providing exceptional customer service at all levels.
• Excellent organizational skills, time management and professional attitude.
• Strong MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge to create Import files.
• Understand and use the Transcon DDL workflow and other tools to ensure shipments have the proper events in the files.
• Dispatch shipments timely based on arrival and appointment.
• GPS loads and truck monitoring.
• Adherence to procedures as outlined in DLSOPS for customers.
• Escalation of problems to Management when necessary.
• Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Company’s procedures.
• Must meet 52 hours of training yearly.
