Job summary

Cardinal Health in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Supervisor, Warehouse Operations to lead inbound/outbound teams and ensure safe, efficient pick, pack and ship activities on the second shift.

You will develop staff, monitor metrics, coordinate equipment and drive continuous improvement projects, while maintaining compliance with OSHA, DEA, FDA and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience preferred.
• Experience leading a team preferred.
• Experience with continuous improvement projects preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, train, manage and evaluate a team of warehouse associates to achieve timely distribution and receipt of products.
• Monitor site productivity standards and hold associates accountable to daily, weekly, monthly metrics; provide timely feedback and initiate corrective action.
• Responsible for continuous improvement projects and initiatives (e.g. Gemba walks, Kaizen, takt boards).
• Perform daily scheduling of the workforce to ensure proper staffing for select, replenish, restock, locate and ship merchandise efficiently.
• Coordinate maintenance of equipment and guide preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Active engagement in employee development, including training, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals.
• Prepare ad hoc reports using Excel (or other necessary programs).
• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with OSHA, DEA, FDA, state and local authorities.
• Assist with EHS and QRA audits and related training/documentation.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Build strong teams and opportunities for growth and development.
• Champion innovation, simplification, and standardization of operating procedures.
