Job summary

Cardinal Health in Illinois is seeking a Lead Associate, Warehouse Operations to support the Warehouse Supervisor in inbound or outbound management and to direct warehouse staff in line with priorities. The role includes coordinating shipment receipts and scheduling, delegating work, and producing productivity reports.

It also involves communicating disruptions to customers, ensuring on-time delivery, and maintaining safety and quality standards while working with leadership to meet daily goals.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related warehouse experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel knowledge) preferred.
• Willingness and ability to operate warehouse equipment (PIT preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience leading a team and sharing feedback with employees preferred.
• Prior knowledge working with WMS system

Responsibilities

• Assist with training new employees on company and departmental procedures as appropriate
• Work closely with leadership team to ensure safety, productivity, and quality standards are met
• Coordinating housekeeping, inventory control, and complying with all QRA and safety requirements and regulations
• With supervisors, plan and coordinate daily workflow and assignments in alignment with warehouse priorities
• Leading team meetings, including safety and quality discussions
• Solving minor issues and general employee inquiries
• Working in production as needed
