Job summary

As a Geek Squad Agent at Best Buy in Lafayette, IN, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers seeking technology support, knowledge and solutions for computers and devices at our local Best Buy store.

We’ll provide training and resources to assess needs, perform basic services and partner with other agents on more complex repairs, helping customers decide whether to repair or replace devices while delivering friendly, timely service.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience working in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during check-in and checkout process
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents
