Job summary

Best Buy in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Geek Squad Agent to be the first point of contact for technology support and solutions for computers and other devices. You’ll be trained to assess needs, perform basic services and collaborate with other agents on more complex repairs.

Responsibilities include providing positive, timely service during check-in and checkout, diagnosing issues with questions and notes, helping customers set up devices, and updating on task progress.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in retail or customer service.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Strong communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents.
