Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Chef Instructor, Savory to serve as the in-store expert for savory cooking. You will deliver hands-on classes, share culinary techniques, and promote cookware and kitchen tools while supporting company initiatives.

Holders of a culinary background will lead engaging sessions, communicate clearly, and drive customer engagement. This role requires a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, with 12–16 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• A degree in culinary arts is preferred; however, candidates with extensive culinary experience and demonstrated technical proficiency will be considered in lieu of formal education.
• 1-2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.

• Deliver class experiences focused on savory cooking that reflect the company’s passion for food, teaching, and high standards.

• Assist with setup and breakdown of classes and maintain kitchen readiness.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and SOPs.
