Job summary

Linde plc is seeking a customer-focused sales and service representative in Laredo, TX. You will handle telephone orders, assist customers at the counter, support the Outside Sales team, and manage warehousing tasks including moving cylinders for customers.

The role emphasizes high-quality customer service, product recommendations, and upselling gases and related accessories while maintaining accurate records and pricing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of customer service/inside sales/counter sales preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required for success in this role.
• No DUI/DWI or alcohol-related driving convictions in the last 10 years.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive and enter telephone orders, answer questions, resolve challenges, and trace order status or shipments.
• Serve customers through counter sales in the retail store.
• Conduct warehouse duties, including moving cylinders for customers.
• Provide sales support to the Outside Sales team.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate products, equipment, and programs.
• Promote add-on sales of gases and hard goods accessories and conduct product demonstrations.
• Maintain customer records and pricing; ensure accurate account setup.
• Perform outbound calls to retail and small customers.
• Sell products at minimum discount to achieve target margins and support additional locations.
