Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Laredo, TX is seeking an In-Store Sales Associate to join our retail team. You will handle customer service tasks, process phone orders, and support store operations, including counter sales and warehouse duties.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, promoting gas and hard goods add-ons, and maintaining accurate pricing and records while supporting Outside Sales as needed. A high school diploma and 1+ year of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of Customer Service / Inside Sales / Counter Sales preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills essential for success.
• No DUI/DWI or other alcohol-related convictions in the last 10 years.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive and enter telephone orders; answer questions and trace order status or shipments.
• Serve customers through counter sales in the retail store.
• Conduct warehouse duties, including moving cylinders for customers.
• Provide sales support to the Outside Sales team.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate products, equipment, and programs.
• Promote add-on sales of gases and high-margin hard goods accessories and conduct product demonstrations.
• Maintain customer records and files, ensuring accurate account setup and pricing.
• Perform outbound calls to retail and small 'B' customers.
• Sell products at minimum discount to achieve target margins and support additional locations.
