Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is hiring for an In-Store Sales Associate in Nederland, TX. This role combines customer service, counter sales, and warehouse duties to support both retail customers and the Outside Sales team.

You will promote gases and high-margin accessories, perform product demonstrations, and maintain accurate customer records while contributing to overall store performance and margins.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of Customer Service / Inside Sales / Counter Sales preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills are essential for success in this role.
• No DUI / DWI or other alcohol-related convictions within the last ten years.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive and enter telephone orders, answer questions, resolve challenges, and trace order status or product shipments.
• Serve customers through counter sales in the retail store.
• Conduct warehouse duties, including moving cylinders for customers.
• Provide sales support to the Outside Sales team.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate products, equipment, and programs.
• Promote add-on sales of gases and high-margin hard goods accessories and conduct product demonstrations.
• Maintain customer records and pricing accuracy.
• Perform outbound calls to retail and small 'B' customers.
• Sell products at minimum discount to achieve target margins and support additional locations as needed.
