Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Party & Events Coordinator Host to plan, coordinate, and facilitate birthday parties and craft events inside our Murray store. You will engage guests of all ages, deliver friendly customer service, and ensure a fun, engaging experience.

Ideal candidates have retail or customer service experience and a passion for creativity. Responsibilities include coordinating multiple events, assisting with craft activities, and ensuring a positive experience for all attendees.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and coordinating events such as birthday parties and craft events.
• Retail or customer service experience required.
• Excellent people skills and ability to interact with guests of all ages.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events simultaneously, including children’s parties and craft classes.
• Engage with guests to create a fun, creative experience; demo and supervise activities such as crafts and face painting.
• Coordinate add-ons (goody bags, balloons) and communicate events to clients and store teams.
• Handle emails, calls, and paperwork; adjust plans based on client feedback.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; assist with stocking, planograms, and SOPs.
