Job summary

Michaels is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and run in-store events, including kids’ birthday parties, delivering a fun, creative experience for guests. You will assist customers, support checkout, and execute store event plans with a focus on safety and brand standards.

You’ll engage participants of all ages, coordinate with store teams, and handle event logistics from setup to wrap-up, including add-ons and post-event follow-ups. Prior retail or customer service experience is ideal.

• Prior experience coordinating events, especially children’s parties.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and guests.
• Retail or customer service experience required.
• Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s parties.
• Engage clients of all ages to create an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate crafts and supervise participants; teach and guide activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as emails, calls, and paperwork.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and create backup plans.
• Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
