Job summary

Michaels is seeking an energetic event coordinator to plan and run in-store events including children's birthday parties. You will assist customers, oversee registrations, and help drive a friendly shopping experience in a busy retail setting.

The role supports omni-channel processes and relies on strong communication with guests and team members. As part of Michaels, you will help maintain store standards, assist with checkouts, and contribute to a positive guest journey while promoting rewards

Qualifications

• Experience in event planning or coordinating children's events.
• Excellent people skills and the ability to interact with guests of all ages.
• Experience in retail or customer service.
• Strong communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate in-store events, including children's birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with customers to help them shop and find solutions.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experiences and promote rewards programs.
• Assist with omni-channel processes (BOPIS and Ship From Store) as needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and set up/break down event spaces.
• Communicate event plans to clients and store team members.
• Handle administrative tasks such as emails and phone calls.
• Support safety and SOP compliance in daily operations.
