Job summary

Ross Stores in Livermore, CA is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a visible presence at store entrances, deter theft, and uphold a safe environment for Associates and Customers.

The role partners with Store Leadership to enforce Loss Prevention directives, train staff on shortage reduction, and uphold the Ross brand through professional appearance and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to, additional background screening, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provides visible command presence, including greetings at store entrances/exits in vest attire.
• Monitors for potential safety issues and ensures clear egress.
• Gathers theft indicators and communicates with Store Leadership and Loss Prevention.
• Supports Loss Prevention initiatives and compliance with directives.
• Represents the Ross brand with a professional appearance.
• Trains and educates Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Observes checkout procedures to ensure proper operations.
