Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. in California seeks a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe, secure store environment for associates and customers.

You will monitor entrances/exits, greet customers, and deter theft while following Code 50 inspections and Loss Prevention directives. Develop strong partnerships with Store Leadership and district teams to minimize shrink, train staff on shortage reduction, and uphold the Ross treasure.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required
• One year retail supervisor experience preferred
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with store team
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proven ability to resolve conflicts
• Compliance with federal and state security regulations

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure store environment for associates and customers
• Provide visible command presence at entrances/exits
• Monitor for potential safety issues and address theft indicators
• Collaborate with Store Leadership to comply with Loss Prevention directives
• Mitigate theft and operational shortage through proactive measures
• Train and educate associates on shortage reduction initiatives
