Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a design consultant to greet customers, understand project needs, and present design concepts aligned with client style and budget.

You will schedule appointments, advise on flooring products, and guide projects from inquiry through installation while collaborating with store leadership. Strong communication skills and basic design software proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ year interior design or retail/sales experience required.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Strong self-motivation and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge incl. MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through referrals and leads.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Support company initiatives by modeling best practices.
