Job summary

Acosta Group is seeking a part-time Event Specialist to perform in-store demonstrations and maintain event equipment. You will engage shoppers, explain product benefits, and ensure food samples adhere to safety guidelines in a retail setting.

Responsibilities include coordinating with store management when the supervisor is away, leading the team, and documenting events with photos. The role supports client events and requires a professional appearance and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus 1-3 months related experience or training.
• Proficient ability to use a personal computer and mobile device.
• Food Safety Professional Certification and local Food handlers permit if required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain event equipment and supplies in backroom areas.
• Act as point of contact for events in stores when Supervisor is absent.
• Lead and support the events team; share knowledge and assist with kits, materials, and tools.
• Explain product features and benefits to consumers to drive sales.
• Prepare and serve food samples following safe handling guidelines and using standard appliances.
• Set up the Event Table and ensure a clean, professional workstation.
• Submit online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Take photos documenting successful event setups for clients.
