Job summary

Lowe’s is hiring a Customer Service Associate in Birmingham, AL. You’ll welcome customers, help them find products and services, and ensure customer needs are met throughout the day in a fast-paced retail environment.

You may work in various departments based on hiring needs, with part-time scheduling and opportunities to grow your skills through training and store programs. The role emphasizes teamwork and customer care.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience using a computer for inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• 6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise
• Down stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies
• Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time
• Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service
• Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds)
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout
• Complete other duties as assigned
