Job summary

Michaels Temple, PA is seeking an energetic Events Coordinator to plan and coordinate events in-store, including children’s birthday parties, crafting classes, and other activities, to deliver a fun and engaging experience for guests.

You will assist customers, guide them to products, and support omni-channel processes like Buy Online Pickup in Store while helping with checkouts, restocking, and store upkeep to uphold Michaels’ brand promises.

Qualifications

• Energetic and enthusiastic personality.
• Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests and coworkers.
• Excellent people and communication skills (written, verbal, nonverbal).
• Experience with children’s events and planning is preferred.
• Retail or customer service experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events in store, including children's birthday parties and other crafts/classes.
• Engage customers of all ages and provide friendly shopping assistance.
• Demonstrate and instruct party activities and manage add-ons (balloons, goody bags).
• Assist with checkout, emails, calls, and paperwork as needed.
