Job summary

2020 Companies, Inc. is seeking a Retail Engagement Specialist to build strong relationships with local retailers, educate merchants on the client’s financial services, and maximize program value across the Kansas City territory.

This field-based role requires daily travel, independent work, and a focus on customer satisfaction. You will visit merchants, place POS materials, document visits, and coordinate with leadership to hit territory goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six (6) months prior sales, promotion, retail, or marketing experience.
• Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. at a time.

Responsibilities

• Visit retail locations within your assigned territory and engage with merchants in a professional, relationship-focused manner
• Introduce and educate new merchants on the client’s financial services and program benefits
• Provide on-site support, answer questions, and address concerns to ensure merchant understanding and confidence
• Place and maintain point-of-sale materials and branding in-store
• Document visits and track activity using mobile tools and reporting systems
• Work closely with leadership to ensure territory goals and coverage expectations are met
