Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Wichita, KS seeks a Design Engineer - In Service Repair to support in-service aircraft repairs and develop repair solutions from a design perspective.

The role emphasizes collaboration with static stress, fatigue, and other departments to ensure airworthiness while using Airbus software tools for documentation and drawings. Onsite position on the Wichita campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical) with a strong emphasis on structural design and mechanics of materials.
• 5+ years total design experience in airframe design and repair projects.
• Experience in metallic and/or composite airframe structural repair.
• Authorized to Work in the US

Responsibilities

• Support in-service daily repair and major repair tasks and develop quality repair solutions from a design perspective.
• Create or modify technical documents such as Technical Communications, Repair Instructions and Repair Drawings using Airbus tools.
• Collaborate with Static Stress, F&DT and other Airbus departments to design optimum repair solutions for airlines.
• Interface repair requirements with customers and suppliers in a professional manner.
• Plan, monitor and execute tasks to meet customer time scales.
