Job summary

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to sustain the in-service fleet by developing repair solutions for aircraft structures from a design perspective. You will lead design efforts for metallic and non-metallic parts, collaborating with static stress and fatigue teams to meet airworthiness and customer requirements.

The role is based on the Airbus Wichita facility on a dynamic, engineering-focused team.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Aero, Civil, or Mechanical) with emphasis on structural design.
• Minimum nine years total design experience with airframe structures.
• Experience with composite airframe structures and MRB/MRO environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop integrated, certified repair designs for airlines and internal customers.
• Ensure repair solutions restore airworthiness.
• Review damage reports and create effective repair solutions.
• Collaborate with F&DT, Stress, and other Airbus departments to optimize designs.
