Job summary

Ampact is seeking Reading Tutors for the Reading Corps program to help students become stronger readers in a school setting. As a Reading Tutor you’ll conduct 20-minute reading sessions, track progress, and work with an on-site coach.

We’ll train you and support your growth through coaching and structured activities, with a stipend paid biweekly and education awards available. Positions run for the 2026-27 school year, with full-time schedules (35 hours per week) and part-time options (27.5 or

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading and writing.
• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and implement feedback.
• Basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• 18 years of age or older with HS diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule.

• Enter student scores in data software.
