Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in Charlotte, North Carolina seeks an In School Intervention Coordinator (ISIC) to promote safety, well-being and academic success for students in the ISIC setting. The role emphasizes teaching behavior management strategies, SEL programs and data-driven progress monitoring.

Responsibilities include supervising students, delivering SEL curricula, providing academic support, maintaining records, collaborating with families and CMS schools, and assisting reintegration

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Human Services and 2 years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services preferred.
• Active Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Certification preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience in a mental health or human service program, preferably with behaviorally complex children.

Responsibilities

• Provides close supervision to students in the In School Intervention Center (ISIC).
• Implements social emotional learning curriculum and monitors behavior.
• Provides academic assistance to ISIC students.
• Addresses student needs with individualized plans (IEP/504/Behavior Plans).
• Analyzes and maintains student data reports and progress.
• Builds relationships with students, staff, parents, and community agencies.
• Equips students with skills for reintegration into the classroom post ISIC.
• Serves as liaison among students, parents, CMS schools, and community programs.
• Implements SEL curricula and tracks progress.
• Provides practical assistance to increase social, behavioral, and academic skills.
• Attends staff and in-service sessions.
• Performs related duties.
