Job summary

DelMonte Hotel Group is seeking a Room Service Server to take orders and deliver meals to guest rooms while delivering exceptional service. You will perform opening/closing sidework, handle phone orders, and ensure accurate payments as part of a courteous, guest-focused team.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 months related experience; High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Take orders and serve meals to guests in rooms while providing exceptional guest service.
• Perform opening and closing sidework per checklists.
• Answer phone to take room service orders and relay orders to kitchen.
• Deliver all food items, beverages and accompaniments to guest rooms.
• Record all sales transactions and secure accurate payment.
• Respond to questions regarding room service and additional requests.
• Collect room service trays from halls and bring to kitchen.
• Be knowledgeable of current food and beverage offerings.
• Deliver VIP gifts, guest amenities and packages as needed.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the Room Service station and surrounding areas.
• Provide information about hotel hours and services to guests.
