Job summary

Sahara Las Vegas is seeking an In Room Dining Agent (Cashier/Order taker) to deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced hotel environment. You will handle guest orders, process payments, and coordinate with servers and kitchen to ensure timely delivery, while maintaining accuracy of room numbers and guest details.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months experience as a Reservationist or Cashier/Order taker.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must obtain Nevada Alcohol Awareness Card and Nevada Food Handler Safety Training Card.
• Hospitality driven attitude.
• Highly organized with ability to multitask.
• Polished, professional, friendly and dynamic.
• VIP-driven guest service environment.
• Sense of urgency in completing responsibilities/tasks.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
• Excellent verbal and written English.
• Willing to go above and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Answer Room Service phone within two rings with correct salutations and etiquette.
• Take guests' food and beverage orders using suggestive selling techniques and department standards.
• Input orders into the system and distribute to servers; ensure authorization for room charges.
• Process all payment methods per Accounting procedures.
• Greet guests warmly and make them feel welcome.
• Communicate with management and kitchen staff to address guest needs.
• Maintain knowledge of departmental policies and standards.
• Resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure accuracy of guest name and room number for delivery.
• Use POS system as specified and ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Input charges for amenity orders and coordinate delivery with servers.
