Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor in Torrance, CA to prepare accurate individual and business tax returns and advise clients throughout the year. You'll interview clients, identify tax savings opportunities, and deliver personalized recommendations using our training and technology.

In this in-person role, you will build lasting client relationships, support clients with IRS notices, and collaborate with a team to maintain a positive, service-driven office environment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation or related fields
• Experience handling complex individual and business returns
• Strong client-facing advisory experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications
• Build year-round client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities
