Qualifications

• Must pass H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience with complex individual and business returns, including tax planning, audit support, and tax notices.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations (individuals and businesses).
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide personalized recommendations.
• Build year-round client relationships by delivering consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities and Block Advisors products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
