Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor (Tax Advisor) to prepare accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses in-person at a local Block Advisors office. You will interview clients, identify tax savings opportunities, and provide consultative tax guidance backed by strong training and technology.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual returns and business returns, including tax planning and audit support.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities and Block Advisors products/services.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
