Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare in Brooklyn Park seeks a Pharmacy Technician to join the Clinic Community Pharmacy team. This full-time role offers benefits, 80 hours per pay period, day shift, and every 4th weekend. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required.

Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, you will perform technical and clerical duties, while maintaining a favorable image of the pharmacy within the hospital and community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Registration with MN State Board.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification within 1 year of hire, paid for by employee, or current Intern License with Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patient focus.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones for the pharmacy department and direct calls appropriately.
• Prepack, label, and dispense prescriptions after pharmacist checks.
• Maintain cash registers, card machines, and daily deposits.
• Prepare and file prescriptions, and document in EMR.
• Triages orders, checks insurance issues, and initiates prior authorizations as needed.
