Job summary

a1mobile is seeking a Sales Engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area. The hybrid role combines in-office collaboration with field demonstrations, powering AI-enabled telecom solutions for small businesses.

You'll run live demos, answer technical questions on porting, SIM activation, and integrations; visit businesses in person, design call-handling workflows, and partner with Account Executives through the full sales cycle.

Qualifications

3+ years as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solutions Consultant in B2B SaaS, telecom, or VoIP.
Solid understanding of telephony: phone numbers, porting, SIP/VoIP, call routing, and SMS.
Ability to explain technical concepts in plain language to busy business owners.
Comfort with door-to-door selling: visiting businesses and closing in person.

Responsibilities

Run live demos showing the AI receptionist handling calls, texts, bookings, and orders.
Answer technical questions on number porting, eSIM/SIM activation, landline adapters, call flows, and integrations.
Scope customer setups from single-location to multi-location and design their call-handling workflows.
Go door to door with the sales team to demo the product live and sign up customers on an a1mobile number.
Partner with Account Executives through the full sales cycle, from discovery to technical close.
Build demo environments, playbooks, and technical FAQs for the sales team.
Turn customer feedback into clear product input for engineering and product.
