Job summary

HeyTutor Inc. is partnering with a Lawndale Area school district to hire English and Math tutors for Elementary and Middle School students during after-school hours. You will work with students in grades 3–8, supervise groups, and help bridge learning gaps from the prior year.

Positions require comfort with an in-person FBI-DOJ background check and reliable attendance. Schedule is after-school, with multiple slots to fill, and you will be paid based on attendance incentives and experience.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an AA or higher, or be currently enrolled in college.
• Tutoring experience with kids is preferred.
• Comfortable tutoring 3-8th Grade Math & ELA.
• Clear FBI-DOJ background check (provided).

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of students without direct teacher support.
• Prepare area to start tutoring session.
• Take attendance and run lessons through HeyTutor Dashboard.
• Document student progress in the HeyTutor Dashboard.
• Facilitate baseline and summative assessments when requested by manager.
• Lead tutoring sessions using provided curriculum and materials.
• Create an engaging environment and promote positive behavior.
• Clock in/out daily in Deputy and perform other duties as assigned.
