Job summary

HeyTutor is partnering with a Los Angeles school district to hire English and Math tutors for after-school sessions. You will support Elementary through High School students, focusing on catching up from learning gaps and reinforcing concepts.

You’ll work with groups in a classroom setting, complete attendance and progress notes via the HeyTutor Dashboard, and pass an in-person background check. Flexible hours, weekly schedule, and community impact.

Qualifications

• Must have tutoring experience, especially with kids.
• Comfortable tutoring Elementary School Math & ELA.
• Able to work in a classroom setting.
• Clear FBI-DOJ background check required.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions with groups of students without a teacher.
• Prepare area to start tutoring session.
• Take attendance and document student progress using HeyTutor Dashboard.
• Facilitate baseline and summative assessments when requested.
• Engage students and create an engaging learning environment.
