Job summary

HeyTutor partners with a local Azusa school district to provide in-person tutoring for elementary students in English and Math. Applicants must have completed an Associate’s degree or be currently enrolled in college and pass an FBI-DOJ background check.

Position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00am–12:30pm, with group tutoring, curriculum-based lessons, attendance tracking, and opportunities for growth. Competitive hourly pay and voluntary health benefits.

Qualifications

• Completed AA degree or higher, OR currently enrolled in college (required).
• Experience working with children or tutoring preferred.
• Comfortable tutoring Elementary and Middle School Math and ELA (English Language Arts).
• Ability to manage large groups of students independently.
• Pass FBI-DOJ in-person background check (provided by HeyTutor).
• Spanish bilingual is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Tutor groups of students without direct teacher supervision.
• Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials.
• Create an engaging, welcoming learning environment.
• Support positive student behavior and participation.
• Track attendance and student progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard.
• Assist with student assessments when requested.
• Escort students to and from designated areas on campus.
• Clock in/out daily using Deputy.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
