Job summary

HeyTutor in Los Angeles is hiring English and Math tutors to support K-12 students during school hours, with sessions 8:00am–3:00pm. You will supervise small groups, track progress in the HeyTutor Dashboard, and help students catch up on learning gaps.

Candidates should have completed an AA or be enrolled in college, have tutoring experience with kids, and be comfortable in a classroom setting. A background check is required and compensation is based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an AA or higher, or be currently enrolled in college.
• Tutoring experience with K-12 students.
• Comfortable tutoring Math and ELA in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Work with groups of students without supervision.
• Prepare area to start tutoring session.
• Take attendance and track progress in the HeyTutor Dashboard.
• Lead tutoring sessions using curriculum and materials provided by the program.
• Create an engaging learning environment and support positive behavior.
• Engage with tutoring lessons alongside students.
