Job summary

HeyTutor is partnering with a local school district in Lancaster to provide high-impact, in-person tutoring for Elementary and Middle School students. The role supports grades K-8 with English and Math tutoring, offering consistent hours and competitive pay. An in-person FBI-DOJ background check is required.

Qualifications include completed AA degree or current enrollment in college, experience with tutoring, and comfort teaching Math and ELA. Spanish bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completed AA degree or higher, OR currently enrolled in college (required)
• Experience working with children or tutoring preferred
• Comfortable tutoring Elementary and Middle School Math and English Language Arts (ELA)
• Ability to pass an FBI-DOJ in-person background check (provided by HeyTutor)
• Spanish bilingual is preferred not required

Responsibilities

• Tutor large groups of students up to 15 without direct teacher supervision
• Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials
• Create an engaging, welcoming learning environment
• Support positive student behavior and participation
• Track attendance and student progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard
• Assist with student assessments when requested
• Escort students to and from designated areas on campus
• Clock in/out daily using Deputy
• Complete additional duties as assigned
