Job summary

Addison Group in Englewood, NJ is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to own the full bi-weekly payroll cycle for about 500 employees across multiple states. The role requires accuracy, compliance, and timeliness, with payroll for salaried and hourly staff including union and non-union populations.

You will partner with Accounting, HR, and operations on compensation initiatives, employee data integrity, benefits processing, and regulatory adherence, while maintaining strict confidentiality

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of hands-on payroll experience in a multi-state environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field; CPP designation is a plus.
• Proficiency with ADP payroll systems and Excel for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own the full bi-weekly payroll cycle for ~500 employees across multiple states.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of payroll processing.
• Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and operations on compensation and data integrity.
• Handle time/attendance data, bonuses, reimbursements, garnishments and tax withholdings.
• Manage year-end activities including W-2 preparation and filings.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee data.
