Job summary

NASA Federal Credit Union is seeking a Call Center Mail Payment Processor to diligently handle basic mail payment transactions and learn payment processing, document retrieval, fraud detection, check holds, and day-end balancing. Training will cover product and service knowledge and banking operations to support exceptional member service.

Ideal candidates may have prior banking or teller experience, with emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, and service orientation.

Qualifications

• Some experience processing payments or bank/credit union teller experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remains cognizant of and adheres to Credit Union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Processes transfers from savings to checking and vice versa.
• Receives, sorts, and posts checks for deposit to savings/checking accounts.
• Receives, sorts, and posts loan payments.
• Applies appropriate check holds.
• Contacts members to verify instructions when needed.
• Disburses withdrawals by check from member accounts.
• Receives and processes member information update forms.
• Responsible for jobs assigned by the direct supervisors for day-end balancing.
• Picks up and drops off mail and specialty work in designated areas daily.
• May cross-train on the Call Center Member Service Associate I position and perform basic job duties.
