Kean Miller LLP in Baton Rouge seeks an experienced Collections Analyst to manage accounts receivable, negotiate payment arrangements, and document activities in the accounting system. This is a 100% in-office role.

You will collaborate with attorneys, billers, and the billing department, prepare monthly statements, and assist month-end close while ensuring FDCPA compliance and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred.
• Prior experience in accounts receivable management and collections.
• Excellent problem-solving and research skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with a comprehensive accounting system.
• Must convey a positive and professional image to clients and attorneys.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Invoice/Receipt Tracking: Daily monitor aged AR and generate weekly AR reports.
• Client Communication: Contact delinquent accounts to arrange payments and document activities in system.
• Internal Coordination: Coordinate with attorneys, billers, and billing dept; report status.
• Accounting/Reporting: Prepare monthly client statements and assist month-end close.
• Compliance & Process Improvement: Ensure FDCPA compliance and identify opportunities to reduce DSO.
