Job summary

Hireology is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to join our in-house rehab team serving residents with person-centered care to achieve positive outcomes. The role involves evaluating swallowing and cognitive deficits, developing individualized treatment plans, and training caregivers.

Active Texas licensure is required; SNF/long-term care experience is preferred. We offer competitive benefits and flexible scheduling. Immediate 401(k) and supportive corporate environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Active Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' conditions for swallowing or cognitive deficits.
• Assist residents in improving cognition or swallowing.
• Education for residents and caregivers.
• Provide skilled, medically necessary speech and language therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide AAC systems for expressive/language disorders.
• Train clients, families, and caregivers as a subject matter expert.
• Coordinate with other professionals for diagnostic swallowing procedures (MBSS, FEES).
• Demonstrate competent technical skills per standards of practice.
• Communicate changes in residents' condition.
• Maintain accurate billing records and clinical documentation.
• Respond to family requests and concerns in a timely manner.
• Coordinate training with Restorative Nursing and other care staff.
