Job summary

Hireology is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house team serving residents with person-centered care to achieve positive outcomes. The candidate must hold a Texas license and have relevant long-term care experience.

You will evaluate swallowing and cognitive deficits, develop individualized treatment plans, provide AAC strategies, and educate residents and caregivers while collaborating with other professionals to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Active/valid Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Experience in SNF/long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of current treatment practices and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents for swallowing or cognitive deficits.
• Help residents improve cognition or swallowing.
• Educate residents and caregivers on therapy goals.
• Provide skilled, medically necessary SLP assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to increase independence.
• Provide AAC systems for individuals with severe language disorders.
• Coordinate with other professionals for diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Document findings accurately and timely for billing and records.
