Job summary

Creative Solutions In HealthCare seeks a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house team of professionals. You will provide person-centered care to help residents improve mobility, strength, and quality of life.

The PTA will administer therapies under a Physical Therapist, document thoroughly, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. New graduates welcome; competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license in good standing.
• Experience with SNF or long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of current physical therapy treatment practices.
• Familiarity with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled PT services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Relay information and referrals to the Physical Therapist.
• Modify patients’ plans of care under PT supervision.
• Measure and record motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response and adjust interventions with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation complies with policies and regulations.
• Attend required meetings designated by the Director of Rehab.
