Regency Pacific is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to provide direct patient care in assigned in-home facilities under supervision of a Physical Therapist. This is a professional position with administrative duties as assigned.

You will educate patients and families, document progress, participate in treatment planning, and ensure adherence to therapy standards. Requirements include PTA degree and an active license in the state, with the ability to work independently and collaborate

Qualificações

• Must have a PTA degree from an accredited institution.
• Must possess, prior to onboarding, a current, unrestricted PTA license in the assigned state.
• Must be able to take direction from registered therapists and other team members to promote patient treatment and safety.
• Must be able to work independently with periodic (daily or less) support and direction.

Responsabilidades

• Instructs and assists patients in active and passive exercises, gait training, ADL, transfers, safety and prosthetic training.
• Observes and reports patient responses and changes to the supervising PT/nurse/physician.
• Educates patient, family, caregiver, and other health team members on therapy participation.
• Visits patients according to the Plan of Treatment and completes daily notes.
• Contributes to developing the Plan of Treatment in collaboration with the supervising PT.
• Adheres to Therapy Standards of Practice in delivering services.
• Reports patient progress, complications, and responses to treatment to the PT.
• Assists the PT in procedures, tests, and complex treatments to ensure safe evaluation and treatment.
