Job summary

Regency Gresham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center seeks a dedicated Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist in Gresham, Oregon. The role requires adherence to state PT practice laws and active participation in the resident’s plan of care.

You will work with an in-house therapy team delivering hands-on rehabilitation, recording progress, and educating patients and families on therapy plans.

Qualifications

• PTA degree from an accredited institution.
• Current, unrestricted PTA license in the assigned state.
• Ability to follow directions from registered therapists and other team members.
• Ability to work independently with periodic supervision.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait training, ADL tasks, transfers, and prosthetic training.
• Observes and reports patient responses and changes to the supervising PT and healthcare team.
• Informs patients and families on therapy activities and involvement.
• Completes daily notes for each visit and assists in plan-of-treatment development with the PT.
• Adheres to Therapy Standards of Practice and communicates progress or complications.
